Prof. Prasad Linganna has a total of 30 years of work experience, which includes 24 years in the industry and 6 years in academics at Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies (RIMS).

Prof. Linganna holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Electrical Engineering) from Bangalore University and a MBA degree from ICFAI University, Tripura. Prof. Linganna is currently pursuing his PhD in Management at the University of Mysore and his research interests include Start-ups and Leadership. He is a Certified Blockchain Expert and a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.

During his long stint of 24 years in the Industry, Prof. Linganna has worked in a multitude of industry segments such as Computer Hardware, Computer Networking and Set Top Boxes.

Over the years, he has acquired valuable experience in the areas of Sales and Marketing, Operations, General Management and Consulting. Prior to joining RIMS, Prof. Linganna has worked at reputed Indian and Multinational Companies and has held responsible positions such as Sales Director for Altech UEC (a South Africa based manufacturer of Set Top Boxes), Country Head – India for Panduit Int’l Corp (a US based manufacturer of Wiring & Communication products), Regional Head (South India) for Datacraft (a Singapore based Networking Systems Integrator), Sales Manager at Microland, Tata Elxsi Ltd, and Digital Equipment India Ltd.
