Julie Sunil is Marketing Faculty and Soft Skills Trainer with more than seventeen years of experience in academia and industry. She received PGDBM in Marketing and Foreign Trade from School of Communication and Management Studies, Cochin and Trainer Certification from Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD). She has been actively contributing to skill building in Marketing, Business Communication, Negotiation, Team Building and Conflict Management.

Her research interest includes investigating frugal innovations in healthcare and her thesis submitted to Bharathiar University titled ‘Marketing Mix for Low Cost Healthcare Innovations: The Ten Ps Framework’proposes marketing solutions based on case analysis of successful business models.

She offered consultation inMarketing and Training to Corporate Objects, a Training and Development firm.

Her data collection collaboration with Embrace, an organization based in Bangalore, for their product ‘Infant Warmer-Thermpod’ designed and developed under the Harvard and Stanford University collaboration helped the company in defining market segments. The students, assigned on the projectgained valuable experience through the collaboration.

Business students from North Eastern University, USA benefitted from her lecture on new product development and measures that must be adopted in dealing with marketing challenges in India. The students visited RIMS under the program ‘India Marketing Dialogue’ for two consecutive years – 2013 and2014.

She edited the book titled “Business Communication” for Pearson Education as part of the Publisher’initiative in Higher Education requirement for quality text resources for business students.

Recruitment of Probationary Officers for Indian Bank in Karnataka saw her on the interview panel to offer advice and assessment on the candidates.

She is currently working on changes anticipated in Management Education and Publishing industry.Her corporate experience includes stints at New Indian Express, Zee Interactive Learning Systems and Regalix. She has been teaching, coaching and training students in full time MBA and Executive MBA programs at Wigan and Leigh College, ICFAI and M S Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies.
